Thanksgiving Day is coming!
I'm Thankful for Turkey
I'm thankful for turkey. I'm thankful for yams. I'm thankful for cranberries, biscuits, and hams. I'm thankful for pumpkins. I'm thankful for cheese. I'm thankful for gravy, potatoes, and peas. I'm thankful for stuffing; I'm nuts for the stuff. I'm thankful for eggnog and marshmallow fluff. I'm thankful for whipped cream and ice cream and pies. I'm thankful for dad's double-chocolate surprise. I'm thankful, Thanksgiving, for good things to eat. But mostly I'm thankful I still see my feet.--Kenn Nesbitt
Reading for Pleasure
Hey, student!
Just a few lines for you and about you.
But I’ve got my songs.
I walk and dream I’m not
The schoolboy who walks on.
My scene swings as I think,
Tales that end as I want.
The way home’s quite long,
But I’ve got my songs.
I play the words you sing,
Adding, dropping mine at will.
The scene again in my mind,
Sparkling eyes, smiling lips.
The way home’s quite long,
But I’ve got my songs.
Just a few lines for you and about you.
BACK FROM SCHOOL
The way home’s quite long,But I’ve got my songs.
I walk and dream I’m not
The schoolboy who walks on.
My scene swings as I think,
Tales that end as I want.
The way home’s quite long,
But I’ve got my songs.
I play the words you sing,
Adding, dropping mine at will.
The scene again in my mind,
Sparkling eyes, smiling lips.
The way home’s quite long,
But I’ve got my songs.

A webpage with everything and for everything
This is a classic among all English teachers, and, as you can easily guess it was designed by a Spanish mate! www.isabelperez.com
